An order has been issued by the President to armed forces.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has issued a directive for the mobilization of the armed forces to maintain public peace across all administrative districts of the country.

Effective from yesterday, a special gazette notification has been issued, mobilizing all members of the Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy, and Sri Lanka Air Force.

This mobilization is carried out under the powers conferred to the President by Article 12 of the Public Security Ordinance, allowing for the deployment of the armed forces to uphold public peace in all administrative districts and the associated local water boundaries.
