Population and Housing Census will begin on the 7th

The Director General of the Department of Census and Statistics, Anoja Senavirathna, has announced that the data collection phase for the Population and Housing Census will begin on the 7^th of next month.

Training for the participating officials is currently underway. This census is conducted every 10 years, and it was last scheduled for 2022. However, it could not take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
