A New media head appointed to the state-owned broadcaster SLBC

New media heads have been appointed to the state owned Independent Television Network and the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation.

Senior lecturer Dr. Uditha Gayashan has been appointed as the new Chairman of SLBC by the Minister of Media, Vijitha Herath.

On assuming duties Dr. Gayshan said, that the uniqueness of the State Broadcaster must be maintained to the highest quality at all times. He also encouraged all staff members to carry out their duties without influence or hindrance.

Meanwhile, well known media personality and senior lecturer Priyantha Wedamulla has been appointed as the new chairman of ITN.

Earlier today, a senior lecturer and acclaimed film director Senesh Dissanaike Bandara was appointed as the new Chairman of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation.

These appointments were made by the newly appointed Minister of Media, Vijitha Herath.
