Final rites of Ven. Galaboda Gnanissara Thero will be held on Monday

The final rites of the late Ven. Galaboda Gnanissara Thero of the Gangaramaya Temple will be held under state patronage on Monday at the grounds adjoining the temple, according to the funeral committee.

Meanwhile, the funeral committee stated that the remains of the late Thero is scheduled to bring to the Gangaramaya Temple at 06.00 a.m.

Ven. Galaboda Gnanissara Thero, popularly known as “Podi Hamuduruwo”, passed away yesterday, at the age of 81. The Thero was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo at the time of his passing.
