Pre-election period of the Presidential Election is peaceful – CaFFE

The Campaign for Free and Fair Elections (CaFFE) says the pre-election period of the 2024 Presidential Election was peaceful compared to the other years.

However, CaFFE  said that there has been a marked increase in incidents of election-related violence observed within the last week.

The Executive Director of CaFFE, Manas Makeen highlighted that the majority of the incidents reported were of intimidation, assault of political party supporters, and damages to party offices.

He added they have observed that there is an increase in posts insulting presidential candidates being shared on social media.
