Ranil Wickramasinghe is the front-runner in the presidential election.

Rev. Dodampahala Sri Rahula Thero says presidential Ranil Wickramasinghe is the front-runner in the presidential election among the three main candidates, and he is the only genuine diplomat.

Speaking at a Maha Sagha conference and Jaya Pirith Sajjayana held in Uluvitike, Galle yesterday, Rev thero stated that the President cooled the burning country at the critical time practicing Buddhist philosophy.

Rev thero also said that President Wickramasinghe has done a great deal for the betterment of Buddhism.Speaking the gathering Minister Ramesh Pathirana, said that the President is working hard for the endurance of Buddhism.
