Increase the annual payment of ‘Dahamma’ school teachers

Cabinet approval has been received to increase the annual payment of Dahamma school teachers upto 7,500 rupees. Currently an annual payment of 5,000 rupees is provided for the teachers of Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and Christianity to encourage them.

Measures will be taken to provide additional payment of 2,500 rupees for their uniforms.
