Anura Kumara vows to strengthen public transport service under NPP govt

National People’s Power (NPP) presidential candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake has stated that a relief package will be provided under a NPP government until the country’s economy stabilizes.

He made these remarks while addressing a rally held in Kottawa. “A large number of citizens in our country incur high expenses for transportation needs”.

However, he said the NPP government will mainly focus on strengthening the public transport service. “We will remove VAT on food through the very first budget proposal”, he stated.
