The need to reaffirm the rule of slaw in the country – Anura Kumara
Leader of the National People’s Power, Anura Kumara Dissanayake emphasizes the need to reaffirm the rule of law in the country.
He notes that in every developed nation, the law treats everyone equally. However, the situation in Sri Lanka is different.
According to Dissanayake, in Sri Lanka, one set of laws applies when in power and another when out of power.
He made these remarks while speaking at a public rally in the Polonnaruwa district. He attributes the rising crime rates to this situation and states that politicians are responsible for it.
Dissanayake asserts that the law must be strictly enforced against organized crime and that the National People’s Power will take the necessary measures under a government to address this issue.
