The country cannot be allowed to be destroyed – President Ranil

President Ranil Wickremesinghe states that the country cannot be allowed to be destroyed. He mentioned that despite taking over the governance of the country during a difficult period, there is now an opportunity to move forward while providing relief to the people.

He said that he has presented himself for the upcoming presidential election to continue this process. President Wickremesinghe made these remarks while addressing a special convention of the Sri Lanka People’s Party held in Kurunegala yesterday.

The event was organized by the party leader, Parliamentarian Asanga Navaratna, and the President was the chief guest. The President also noted that he is acting beyond party politics for the future of the country’s people.
