FLH Launches ‘FLH මාපිය කැපකරු’ Programme to Cover Monthly Expenses for 100 Children’s Future Welfare
The FL Foundation of the FLH Group has launched the ‘‘ FLH මාපිය කැපකරු’ programme to support the education of children from low-income families and help them build a better future.

Established in 2018, the FL Foundation carries out a range of social development initiatives aimed at empowering children and women from low-income families. Through its ‘FLH Sathkaara’ programme, the Foundation has so far implemented 235 projects across the country, providing assistance worth more than Rs. 110 million and directly benefiting around 45,000 Sri Lankans.
The ‘FLH මාපිය කැපකරු’ programme is the latest initiative under this continuing social commitment, with the primary objective of helping children from low-income families continue their education without interruption.
The programme is driven by the belief that education has the power to change a child’s future. Donors, together with a Leading Bank, have joined the initiative to support children in need and help them continue their education.

Under the first phase of the programme, the monthly educational expenses of 100 children will be covered for a period of one year. Beyond education, the ‘FLH මාපිය කැපකරු’ programme will also provide support for needs such as healthcare and sports, based on the age and individual needs of the children.
The FLH Group also plans to launch a range of programmes through its establishments across the country in the coming weeks and months, aimed at supporting the education, knowledge and overall well-being of thousands more children.
Children in need of assistance under the ‘FLH මාපිය කැපකරු’ programme can be identified and referred through local Grama Niladharis, religious leaders or school principals. Individuals who wish to support the education of children in need can also join the programme as sponsors.
