The public to elect policy respected politicians to the parliament. 

Commissioner general of elections Saman Sri Rathnayake has requested the public to elect policy respected politicians to the parliament.  

It is the prime duty of the voters.   The valid votes of the public should not be  marked for  temporary privileges.  

The parliament should be a very clean place for the intelligent.  It is essential of  electing intelligent persons to the parliament.

Executive director of the PAFFRELL Rohana Hettiarachchi said that only two political parties are directly engaged in propagation activities.

Police media spokesman Nihal Thalduwa said that 119 persons have been taken into custody regarding the election violation.
