Japanese assistance is sought to complete the Central Expressway:

The government has taken steps to complete the construction of the Central Expressway.

Discussions were held with the Japanese Ambassador to seek their assistance to complete the construction, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said today.

Speaking at an election rally in Kandy, he said the government will take steps to find solutions for the traffic congestion in Kandy.

He said a discussion was held recently to review the progress of the projects which have been launched in Kandy and that the government will take steps to resume the projects which have been halted at the moment.
