Most exemplary parliament will be formed on November 14th.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake says the most exemplary parliament in history will be formed on the 14th of November.

He said the government has already focused on raising the salaries of government employees in the upcoming budget.

He added that a political leadership close to the hearts of the people is essential to build the country.  The president said that the lives of the worried people can be built only with a strong political mechanism.

Speaking at a public meetings held in Kahawatta and Ratnapura he added that The results of the last presidential election confirmed that the public did not have a good image of their representatives in the parliament.

He said the trust that certain politicians implanted in the people during their campaign is broken when they are ruling the country.  

The President also emphasized that it is the responsibility of the people to elect people to the Parliament who have better understanding of the issues of the public and have capacity to solve those problems.
