President meets with President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe has met with President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference, Bishop Harold Anthony Perera and other members of the conference to discuss various critical issues.

The President’s Media Division reported that the discussion focused on topics including education reforms, the investigation into the Easter Sunday terror attacks, environmental concerns, and matters related to the Catholic Church.

During the meeting, the President also provided an update on the economy and the government’s plans to tackle the challenges related to the cost of living.

Meanwhile, the Special General Conference of the UNP will be held today at 2:00 PM at the Party Headquarters.  Party General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara said that it will be held under the chairmanship of party leader President Ranil Wickramasinghe. He said Party members representing each electorate will be participating in it and all party leaders who support the President have also been invited to this conference.
