1000 million rupees have been allocated for the purchase of paddy

The Ministry of Agriculture says that 1000 million rupees have been allocated for the purchase of paddy in the Yala season. The Ministry of Agriculture said it will allocate 500 million rupees as the first allocation in this regard tomorrow.

Chairman of the Paddy Marketing Board Buddhika Iddamalgoda, told SLBC     32 warehouses covering the whole island are being opened to buy paddy accordingly. He added that, the number of warehouses will be increased to 250 if required.He added a proposal in this regard has also been submitted to the Cabinet.
